The Beer Museum introduces a new
Executive Chef and a new menu of
gastronomic experiences

With the signature of Chef Pedro Pereira, who is in charge of the Beer Museum kitchen, the new menu proposes a journey through the flavours of Portugal.

Determined and creative, and with a particular taste for flavour and excellent presentation, Chef Pedro Pereira has developed a menu inspired by Portuguese gastronomic icons, giving them a twist of unexpected boldness and flavour, by mixing seasonal ingredients, respecting their natural flavour.

The Menu

The new menu includes Tuna fish ceviche in a seaweed bed with avocado and melon, Sautéed shrimp with coconut and chili peppers, Sheep cheese salad with asparagus and apple, Beetroot tartar with avocado and tomato, Stewed oxtail with tagliatelle, mushrooms and spinach, Tuna fish steak with mushrooms, fennel root and orange and Sponge cake with Serra da Estrela PDO cheese. Other options include the traditional and always appreciated Grilled codfish, Octopus “Lagareiro style”, Veal steak and the Codfish cake with Serra da Estrela PDO cheese filling.

Chef Pedro Pereira

With over 15 years’ experience in leading restaurants, it was in 2003 that Pedro discovered his passion for cooking, when he started working in a bakery in Trás-os-Montes. After completing his professional training at Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo de Mirandela, the chef worked in the kitchens of the Flor de Sal restaurant in Mirandela, Pestana Palace Lisboa, Terraço Tivoli Lisboa, Bica do Sapato or Kook Lisboa (with an international stint at Kook Luanda), having recently joined the Value of Time Group at the Beer Museum.

Special Valentine’s Day Programme

On Valentine’s Day, 14th February, the place offers a special programme for everyone: when having lunch or dinner at the Beer Museum, visit the museum’s exhibit for free. Here, it is possible to discover the history of beer throughout 7000 years, starting from its occasional discovery, through the development of the drink in monastic cellars, its boom with pasteurisation and the advances promoted by the industrial revolution in a true journey through time! At the end, the Beer Museum also offers a tasting of a Portuguese craft beer.
